How the fake Strava run generator works

Fakepace builds a complete running activity from a route you draw. Every point snaps to real roads and trails through Mapbox, elevation comes from terrain data, and the pace profile is generated with natural variation instead of a flat line, so the activity reads like a real run when you upload it to Strava or Garmin Connect. No GPS device, no phone in your pocket, no pacer for hire.

  1. 01

    Draw the route

Click the map to add waypoints. Auto-snap follows real streets; switch it off for track or trail sessions.

  2. 02

    Tune the metrics

Set target pace, pace variation, heart rate zones, cadence, and the device the file should report. The Strava preview updates live.

  3. 03

    Export the TCX

Download the file and upload it to Strava, Garmin Connect, or any platform that accepts TCX.

What the TCX file contains

  • 1 Hz trackpoints with latitude, longitude, altitude, and timestamps
  • Per-segment pace with realistic fluctuation and negative or positive splits
  • Heart rate and cadence streams (Pro)
  • Laps, auto-pause gaps, and device metadata that match a real watch (Pro)

Fake Strava run generator FAQ

Is this a fake Strava run generator or a route planner?
Both. You plan the route on a map, but the export is a full activity file with time, pace, and heart rate — the same format a watch uploads.
Does it export GPX or TCX?
TCX. Unlike GPX, TCX carries heart rate, cadence, laps, and device data, so Strava and Garmin Connect treat it as a recorded activity rather than a planned route.
Will the run look realistic on Strava?
Pace varies per segment, elevation follows the terrain, and laps and auto-pause behave like a real watch. Keep the target pace within your normal range — that is what makes an activity believable.
Do I need an account?
No account to build and preview. Sign in with Google when you export; pricing is on the homepage.
Can I use it for cycling or walking?
The builder is tuned for running. Walking paces work; ride files are on the roadmap.
How is this different from hiring a Strava jockey?
A jockey charges per session, needs a meetup, and holds your phone or watch. With Fakepace you build the activity yourself in two minutes, from IDR 5K per file, and nobody touches your account.
Can it keep my Strava streak alive?
Yes. On a day you cannot run, generate a short activity at your normal pace, upload it, and the weekly streak carries on.
