How we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Fakepace to build routes and generate TCX files.

Welcome to Fakepace ("we", "our", or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our route-building and TCX export services.
By using Fakepace, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our services.

Data We Collect
We collect minimal data to provide our services. This includes route data you create (waypoints, coordinates, pace settings), basic usage analytics (page views, feature usage), and any information you voluntarily submit through our contact form (name, email, message).
Routes are built in your browser. If you are signed in and have route saving switched on, the routes you export are also stored on our servers so you can download them again — see the section on saved routes below. We do not collect GPS data from your device, biometric information, or data from third-party fitness platforms unless you explicitly upload it.

How We Use Your Data
Your route data is used solely to generate TCX files for download. We use analytics data to understand usage patterns and improve the platform. Contact form submissions are used only to respond to your inquiries.
We never sell your personal data to third parties, use it for advertising targeting, or share it without your explicit consent.

Third-Party Services
We use Mapbox for map rendering and route snapping. When you interact with the map, Mapbox may collect anonymized usage data under their own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing Mapbox's privacy policy for details.
We do not embed social media trackers, advertising networks, or any other third-party analytics beyond what is described here.

Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. You may also request data portability or withdraw consent at any time.
Since Fakepace is primarily a client-side tool, most of your data never leaves your browser. For any data-related requests, please reach out via our contact page.

Routes Saved to Your Account
When you export a route while signed in, we store the route itself — its coordinates, elevations and run settings — against your account so you can download the file again later. We keep your 50 most recently exported routes; older ones are removed automatically as new ones arrive.
You can turn this off at any time under Settings in your account, delete any route individually, delete all of them at once, or download everything we hold as a JSON file. Deleting your account deletes your saved routes with it.
