Fake Strava half marathon template
21.1 km is where fake runs usually fall apart: flat pace, no drift, no pauses. This template presets a realistic profile so yours does not.
Pick a pace for your Half marathon
Three realistic profiles. Each link opens the builder with the target pace preset — you only draw the route.
| Profile | Pace | Finish time | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Easy | 7:00 /km | 2:27:41 | Use this → |
| Moderate | 6:15 /km | 2:11:52 | Use this → |
| Fast | 5:30 /km | 1:56:02 | Use this → |
How the template works
- Choose a pace above. The builder opens with that target pace and a distance hint.
- Draw a route of roughly that distance; points snap to real roads and the distance counter updates live.
- Optionally add heart rate, cadence, and a watch profile (Pro).
- Download the TCX and upload it on strava.com via Upload activity.
Tips for a believable run
- Draw a course a real event would use: wide roads, long loops, few tight turns.
- Let the pace drift slower after 15 km; the builder's variation setting does this for you.
- Add heart rate (Pro) — a half marathon without HR on a watch-recorded run looks odd.
- Do not post a half marathon PR out of nowhere; build up over weeks like a real block.

FAQ
- How long is a half marathon?
- 21.0975 km. At 6:15/km that is about 2:11; at 5:30/km about 1:56.
- Will the elevation profile look right?
- Elevation comes from terrain data along your drawn route, so hills appear where the roads actually climb.
- Is this allowed on Strava?
- Uploading generated activities can violate Strava's terms. Use it for testing, demos, or a genuinely lost week — and at a pace you actually run.
